A Gyralite refers a form of oscillating signal light made by Pyle-National Corp, which the Rio Grande (amongst other roads) used as a secondary headlight on locomotives.

The Rio Grande initially standardized on Mars signal lights, a competitor of the Gyralite, but transitioned in later years.

The units known to have been delivered new with Gyralites are:

• GP40-2s 3129-3130
• SD40T-2s 5386-5413 (fourth and fifth orders)
• SD50s 5501-5513

Other units may have had Gyralites substituted for their original Mars Lights over the years.
