Note: The 1963 Colorado RR Museum publication, "Steam in the Rockies - A Denver Rio Grande Roster" refers to the L-95 class as L-96. However, I believe this to be an error (one repeated in numerous places since), as contemporary DRGW timetables and documentation refer to the class as L-95. Plus, the 95 would correspond with the class's 95,000 lbs of tractive effort, making that name consistent with all other post-1924 Grande classifications.
