On Saturday, 17-Jun-2006, an unveiling ceremony was held up in Denver to take the wraps off UP 1989, the D&RGW Heritage SD70ACe. Officially the event was for current and former UP and D&RGW employees and their families, but a few fans also managed to get the chance to view the unit. Due to the interest in the unit by the fan community, UP (via John Bromley) also announced that fans would be allowed in to see it for three hours on Sunday morning, from 0900h to 1200h. Promptly after this period, the unit was moved to the Burnham Shops for final prep work before Monday's first run. This album covers photos taken by several individuals at the unveiling event.
