Westcliffe, CO, was served by two different Rio Grande branches, but at different times. From 1881 to 1890, it was serviced by the narrow gauge Grape Creek Branch, which ran from Canon City up to Westcliffe. Then, from 1900 to its eventual abandonment in 1938, the town received freight and passengers over the standard gauge Westcliffe Branch that ran up from Texas Creek, CO.


Today, the town's single stall enginehouse is preserved and restored, and a number of Rio Grande cabooses can be seen around town.
