1744 arrived in Alamosa on 2-May-2007 on trucks, coming into town via US 285 from Santa Fe. This album will cover photos of 1744's arrival in Alamosa through the reassembly process. The unit should makes its debut during the Memorial Day opening weekend festivities - see the Rio Grande Scenic Railroad's official announcement for more details.

Engineer's Side of 1744 in Alamosa on Sunday, 6-May-2007. Crews are working to put the unit back together after its trip from New Orleans and prepare it for its inaugural runs on Memorial Day weekend.
