D&RGW EMD F7 Locomotives D&RGW F7B #555B / #5552 The Scrapping of DRGW 555B/5552

Over the course of about seven days, starting around 30-Nov-2006, MDTX 1151 (ex-ARR 1517, exx-DRGW 555B/5552) was converted from an inoperable B unit to a pile of scrap metal in Laramie, WY. On Tuesday, 5-Dec-2006, the carbody was still reasonably intact, but by Friday, the entire thing had been leveled to the frame.

This gets the torch as well, just as soon as they finish with the F7B. The guys told me they'd probably start on it early next week. The plow behind it is safe, however - it was purchased by UP and will be moved to Cheyenne.
