Friday was beautiful, if a little warm, here in Colorado. I was done with work by 1330h, so I figured I'd take a little drive out west and go over Tennessee Pass for the first time this season. Here's a few shots from the trip that I thought you all might enjoy seeing.

The water of Gore Creek is only an inch or two below the D&RGW girders. Not sure if the creek's actually that high, or if it's the Eagle River is backing up. This actually appears to be somewhat down, but that's pretty typical for Colorado runoff du ...

Here's the Minturn sheriff, inspecting one of the insulators that fell off a rotten pin. He's mostly there to protect traffic while the Qwest guys cut the aerial phone lines over the road. A few circuits still used the pole for support.
