D&RGW GP-30 3023 westbound at Naperville, Illinois on September 2, 1965, Kodachrome by Chuck Zeiler. Number 3023 was built in February 1963 (c/n 28052) on EMD Order 7640 and was wrecked at Brown's Canyon, Colorado on September 22, 1970. It was repaired and lasted on the D&RGW until September 1995, when it went to Progress Rail, then NREX, then Cimarron Valley Railroad, becoming CVR 3023.
