2010 Week 13: Mar 28 - Apr 03It was thirty years ago this week - March 31, 1980 to be exact - that the great Chicago, Rock Island & Pacific Railroad ceased operations. The Rock connected directly to the Grande at Colorado Springs, and reached Denver and Pueblo via trackage rights. Here we see the Rocky Mountain Rocket in Denver Union Station during the late 1950s.
