Metra 159 Village of Mount Prospect pushes its train through Berkeley, around Union Pacific's Proviso Yard on May 4, 2001. Resting in the yard for the night is a Union Pacific business train with UP's three E9's. UP E9 949 (shown in the picture) is actually a former Metra locomotive. It was RTA 511 and was assigned to the three former Chicago & North Western lines (now UP), so it is no stranger to the area.
