I am the Danimal. You are not.

Ahh, the powers of logical decuction. Welcome, friend! You have reached my personal webpage. I have it set up in sections, sort of like an autibiography, but without all the writing.

Did you hear about the dyslexic Rabbi? He walked around saying "Yo."

The bulk of my life right now is my schooling. I am a 4th year student at the University of Iowa. That's right, my title is "4th year student." That's because I'm not quite a senior yet. I only have enough credits to be titled a junior, and that's because I've taken some time off of school. But that's okay, I'm in no hurry. I am active in Iowa's Band Department, and I am studying transportation management. More on those in a bit.

Why do drivers education classes in Redneck schools use the car only on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays? Because on Tuesday and Thursday, the Sex Ed class uses it.

I am a railfan. The term Railfan is the "preferred" title of someone who likes trains. My interest in them started when I was a wee little schmuck. The house I lived in until I was 3 nested right up against the east-west mainline of the Chicago & North Western Railroad. I was in heaven. Then we moved. D'oh!

In the time to follow, my interest waned, mainly due to lack of exposure. But then I started High School. York Community High School was located along the Chicago Central & Pacific Railroad, which merged with the Illinois Central Railroad, and has since been taken over by the Canadian National Railway. BOTH of those mergers happened within the duration of my time at York. Talk about a high turnover rate! (The line's history is even much more storied than that!)
Also in high school, I met my best friend, Brad Logan. Brad helped to renew my interest in the rails, and together we learned a great deal about the industry, and photography. He is the co-webmaster, along with myself, of the Chicago & North Western Railway Photo Archive. (Always accepting contributions, hint hint...)
And now, here I am in Iowa. Through Iowa City comes the CRANDIC, and the Iowa Interstate Railroad. They provide a nice level of variety to keep me entertained.

What makes men chase women they have no intention of marrying? The same urge that makes dogs chase cars they have no intention of driving.

Keeping with the transportation motive, I will introduce you to Cambus. Cambus is the University of Iowa's free transportation system. I have been employed by them for the entirity of my time at Iowa, and I have served as a driver, a dispatcher, and I am currently a mechanic. Cambus has also been the way I have met many of my good friends. And, best yet, I believe I have found my niche, my calling. Thanks to my Cambus experience, I have decided to study Transportation Management. It is my goal someday to work in a managerial position for a large city Bus or Commuter Rail system.
