Trying to locate more info and hopefully an HO model of a caboose similar to the Thistle caboose that floated away and was mostly buried during the 1983 flood. Pictures are in the book 'Thistle, Focus on Disaster' by Sumsion.
Photos of the caboose before the flood show it was a very short bobber with two windows and a single window in the centered cupola. Pictures of the caboose are available at
It looks nothing like #01125 seen at
At the time of the flood it was owned by Bob Pace, a D&RGW engineer, and the story is that he got it from the D&RGW. Someone on another forum suggested that it may have been a Utah & Pleasant Valley Ry. caboose.
Your help would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Mt Pleasant, Utah
