At least three SD9s remained in black & gold in 1966, as per a Ron
Hill photo of 5305 & 5311 at Phippsburg in "Rio Grande In the
Rockies" and a 1967 photo of 5308 in Timothy Morris' Rio Grande in
Color V.4.

And in Rio Grande Diesels Vol 2 on page 52 there is a photo of an SD9 in original black and yellow April 1967 in Roper yard #5308.
I was wondering what the latest any of the F units kept black and yellow, and I'm guessing that was around 1954, I haven't found a photo later than that but perhsps so.
